Who is eligible to be seen in the STI clinic?
Anyone 12 years of age or older, who is a resident of Albany County, or a student attending college in Albany County; parental consent not required for individuals under 19.
Is parental consent required for minors?
Parental consent is not required for individuals under the age of 19.
What infections are tested for?
HIV (rapid test, results at time of visit), chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, trichomoniasis, BV, vaginal yeast infection, genital herpes.

Yes, interpreters by phone are available for patients who cannot speak English.
What is the check-in process?
Check-in at the registration desk; you will be given a number and will be called by your number to protect privacy.
What happens after I get my test results?
If tests are positive, clinic staff will contact you by phone and provide next steps. If negative, we do not call.
