A prescription for birth control is available after an evaluation by an SHC Nurse Practitioner or Physician. Emergency contraception (EC) is available at The Student Health Center (SHC) for a small fee. EC is also available OTC in all states with no prescription needed. EC is most effective if taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse, but it may be effective up to 120 hours. Call the SHC to schedule an appointment.
