FAQs
What conditions do you treat?
Acne, blistering disorders, contact dermatitis, eczema, hair loss, melanoma, moles, psoriasis, rosacea, skin cancer, skin infections, warts.
How often should I see a dermatologist?
If a primary care provider recommends a skin exam or if you have concerns related to your skin, you should visit a dermatologist for a full skin examination. If you have an issue between visits, such as a rash, acne or suspicious skin growth, please make an appointment.
What should I expect at a general dermatology appointment for a skin exam?
At your dermatology appointment, we will ask about your medical history, what medications you take, problems you are having, etc. For a general skin exam, you will get undressed to your comfort level and put on a gown. The dermatologist will examine your skin from head to toe and may use a lighted magnifier. If any area of concern is found, a biopsy may be performed for evaluation.
