What should I expect at my first visit?

Comprehensive examination, review of physician’s recommendations, problem area assessment, discussion of findings, development of a treatment plan, possible hands-on/manual therapy, customized exercises, stretches, and use of physical agents. May include a home program.

How long are appointments?

First appointment typically 45 minutes to 1.5 hours; follow-up 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Do I need to see a doctor first?

Thanks to direct access, we can see any patient without a referral from a doctor for an initial evaluation. If our therapists believe that physical therapy is a good option for your needs, we can work with you and your physician to obtain a prescription for continued care. If your diagnosis requires additional expertise, we can also refer you to a specialist to handle your care.

What do I need to bring?

Prescription for physical therapy from your referring physician (if applicable); Government issued photo ID; Insurance card(s); Patient forms downloaded from this site in PDF format (print and bring completed); Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What might my treatment include?

Hands-on, manual therapy; customized exercise program; stretching; physical agents such as heat, ice, ultrasound and electrical stimulation; a home program may be recommended.

What should I do if I am unable to attend an appointment?

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice. We understand emergencies or illnesses may require closer notice.

Do you accept insurances and will they cover therapy?

We accept most major insurances including Medicare, Tricare and workers’ compensation plans. We verify in-network and out-of-network benefits prior to your initial visit; costs depend on your plan’s deductible, co-pay, and patient responsibility.
