Range Mental Health Center (RMHC) is a nonprofit, rural-focused mental health provider established in 1961 and headquartered in Virginia, Minnesota. It operates as Minnesota’s first rural community mental health center and offers a broad range of services including outpatient and psychiatric treatment, community support, inpatient/outpatient addiction and detox, crisis services (8-bed stabilization unit and mobile crisis team), housing and homelessness programs, assertive community treatment, school-based and community child mental health services, and housing for individuals with severe mental illness. RMHC serves over 5,000 adults, children, and families annually across northern St. Louis County, spanning more than 6,800 square miles. The center employs around 200 staff and operates 10 offices nationwide (all in the United States), with key locations in Hibbing, Virginia, Ely, and other Minnesota communities.
