FAQs
How early should I call if I or a family member is ill?
If you or a family member is ill, please call as early in the day as possible so that we can assess your needs. We will accommodate you with a same-day appointment if at all possible.
What should I plan for my appointment arrival?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete necessary paperwork. If your insurance has a co-pay, it will be collected at this time.
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
Please contact the office as soon as possible to cancel a scheduled appointment. By doing so, we can then offer this appointment to another patient.
What if I arrive late for my appointment?
If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment. We will make every effort to have you seen on the same day, but this may not be possible.
How are prescription refills handled?
Prescription refills are best addressed at the time of your visit. Please call your pharmacy directly for routine refill requests. Routine refill requests are handled Monday through Friday. Allow 72 hours for processing.
Do referrals require prior approval from insurance?
Most health plans require your primary care provider to refer you to specialists or facilities for certain services within your network. Call our office before obtaining medical care elsewhere to avoid denial of benefits, unless you have a life-threatening emergency. Allow 7 to 10 business days for processing referrals.
