FAQs

What is MOGA?

Meadville Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates, often referred to as MOGA, is the Meadville Medical Center OB/GYN department.

Does MMC charge a facility fee for obstetric services?

For services on or after August 5, MMC will no longer charge a facility fee for individuals with commercial insurance at MOGA; Medicaid and Medicare continue to be charged a facility fee.

Why do Medicaid and Medicare patients still receive a facility (technical) fee?

Billing rules require that provider-based locations submit claims using a method known as “split-billing” for Medicare and Medicaid patients.

Are any services…

No. In fact, the plan is to increase services and offer additional pre-natal and post-delivery care for obstetrics patients.
