FAQs
What sleep disorders are commonly treated at the center?
Sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, periodic leg movement syndrome, narcolepsy.
What is the check-in process for the Sleep Lab?
Check in at the south door of the clinic, across from Red Rock Sporting Goods. You can park directly across from the door. Knock on the door, the Sleep Lab Technician will meet you and escort you to the Sleep Lab.
When is the sleep study testing time scheduled?
You will be scheduled for an 8:45 pm testing time. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
How is the sleep study conducted and what happens after?
There is time spent diagnosing (e.g., Obstructive Sleep Apnea) and then the rest of the night is spent on treatment (CPAP). You will see the doctor in a follow-up appointment after each study.
When will I receive my sleep study results or prescription?
Your results will be sent to the Billings Clinic Sleep Disorders Center to be scored and interpreted by a sleep specialist. This process usually takes about 2 weeks, but may take up to 4 weeks. If needed, a second study may be required. If prescribed, a CPAP prescription will be provided at the follow-up appointment.
How will I obtain CPAP equipment?
You will need to choose a durable medical equipment (DME) provider in the Miles City area (Lincare or Rotech). Your provider will give you a written prescription to take to one of these companies.
