You can schedule an outpatient diagnostic imaging procedure by calling 205-759-7300 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

What locations offer IR services and hours?

Four interventional radiologists provide IR services Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and a team is on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies.

CT scanner availability

DCH Regional Medical Center has four CT scanners (64-slice in ED X-ray, 64-slice in OP Imaging, 64-slice and 16-slice in Inpatient Radiology). Northport Medical Center has one 64-slice scanner. Ruby Tyler Parkway Imaging has one 16-slice scanner. CT is staffed 24/7 at Regional Medical Center and Northport Medical Center.

Ultrasound staffing

Regional Medical Center inpatient ultrasound staffed 7 days a week 7:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.; outpatient ultrasound 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Mon–Fri. Northport Medical Center ultrasound staffed Mon–Fri 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Sat–Sun 7:30 a.m.–work completes; 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. shift covered by Ultrasonographer for both Regional and Northport.

MRI staffing

Inpatient MRI at Regional Medical Center Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. and Sat–Sun 7:00 a.m.–work completes. Outpatient MRI Mon–Fri 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Northport MRI Mon–Fri 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Sat–Sun 7:00 a.m.–work completes. Ruby Tyler Imaging MRI Mon–Fri 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Nuclear medicine timing

Nuclear medicine scans inpatient 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Mon–Fri. Outpatient nuclear medicine 6:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Mon–Fri. On-call for emergencies 4:30 p.m.–8 p.m.
