What are convenient care facilities?

A convenient care facility delivers medical care outside of a hospital emergency department on an unscheduled, walk-in basis, for minor illnesses or injuries that need immediate attention but are not serious enough to require emergency department care.

When should I go to convenient care instead of my primary care physician or emergency department?

Use convenient care when you need non-emergency care and your primary care physician is not available; it is not designed for chronic health issues and does not replace your primary care provider.

What services are available at convenient care?

On-site imaging and lab support, walk-in care, and access to experienced clinicians who can coordinate with your primary care provider.

How will I know my lab results?

If there is a positive result or a change in your treatment plan, you will be notified. Not all lab results are called back; you may review results via the patient portal.

What information should I bring to my visit?

List of current medications and dosages, name/address of primary care physician, and name and phone number of your pharmacy.

What safety practices are in place during visits?

Staff wash hands frequently and clinicians wear gloves when appropriate; patients can ask questions and speak up.
